It can be very difficult to find a single apartment, especially when you look for it in March or September. You can have single apartments in the student dormitories. Wohn-In is an association establishing contact between tenants and landlords. The registration fee is 70€. That may sound much, but it is a good investment for the following reason: If you look for an apartment in March or September you may fall victim to blackmail. The current tenants of apartments often force you to buy their old furniture or to renovate the apartment at your own cost.

Wohn-In can be an alternative. You can check for new offers every day and the detailed profile sheets give you a very good idea of the apartments without having to go to every single offer. Only very few people in Münster know about this association, but it is highly popular with landlords because of its convenience. You will have a great advantage over people who all follow the same ads in newspapers. For the 70€ registration you can also benefit from legal support throughout the whole year in case you encounter problems with your landlord or e.g. electricity companies and internet providers. They offer their services to you in English, German and Polish.

Nadann

It is a free magazine that is published both online and in print. On www.nadann.de new ads are added every Wednesday. It is the medium with the most ads in Münster. The paper version can be found all over the city. If you are looking for an apartment in March or September it is very important to pick up a copy of nadann at their headquarters. You should go to the address below and start looking for apartments on Wednesdays at noon or on the internet at 10 p.m. You can also run an ad yourself.

Realtors without fees

With the  hints of the “Wohnungsamt Münster” (Bureau of Housing of the City of Münster) you can find lots of enterprises that can provide you with an apartment without charging fees. Among those you will find e.g.  Wohnstadtbau or WGM.

Ads in the newspaper

Most ads are to be found in the Westfälischen Nachrichten. Most apartments are for sale, though. Ads concerning rental apartments can be found in the print version on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
