The “Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek” ULB is the main library of Münster University. It has a huge reading room where you can read and work. You may bring your own laptop as internet access via W-Lan is provided. Using the ULB ist basically for free. With the start of the summer term 2011 the former library card has become a part of the the new ‘StudiCard’ (student card).

In the Lehrbuchsammlung you can find books for all courses ans studies. You can find more books and newspapers in the 1st and 2nd basement. When searching for literature, you can use the online catalogue under www.ulb.uni-muenster.de. Just recently, a more convenient search engine was introduced: disco

monday till friday 8-24 h
saturday and sunday 10-18 h

In addition to the ULB, there are five other special libraries for Medicine, Social Sciences, Physics, Chemistry and Dutch, as well as smaller ones in every department.
